It was God’s desire that He would rule over His people. No government or set of laws can substitute for the “Rule of God” in your heart and life. But the people wanted kings like other nations had. So God allowed them a king and anointed Saul and then David. Hannah, Samuel, Jonathan, David and Abigail showed integrity and they had a heart for God.

The fluidity of watercolor allowed me to pour the heart image onto the paper, symbolizing the movement of God in us through our hearts and indicating a relationship that is real and alive. The words lettered around the heart express the lessons I learned in studying this book.
