The Gospel of Mark is probably the 1st Gospel written and by (John Mark) who was not one of the 12 disciples. Mark’s account of the life of Jesus is really the recounting of Peter’s story. Mark emphasizes more of what Jesus DID than what He said. Mark presents Jesus as the Servant Messiah through chronological events, miracles and facts.

Jesus is teaching at the top left, showing compassion and healing the broken at the bottom, His hand reaching out in the center shows He was always available to serve all those He came in contact with. The far right side shows the end of His lifeline with the crucifixion. The word SERVANT is intertwined throughout the piece to remind us that we too should serve others.
