Luke, a Gentile physician and companion to the Apostle Paul wrote this gospel to present an accurate account of the life of Christ and to explain that He was both a perfect human and the Savior.
Luke was a man of science, and of detail, he compiled his research carefully. Luke devotes 10 chapters of the travelogue of Jesus’ life, His relentless progression toward the cross.
To show the reality of Jesus’ humanity, I created the image of the baby in the womb. The glow around the adult Jesus’ head is to show Him as the Savior and being backlit by His glory His features are blurred. But at the same time, we see His human anatomy. Jesus’ outstretched arms run off the paper to express His welcoming of everyone into His presence.
